EK is weighted heavily towards the fighter end of the fighter/mage, but But it would be easier with a class like Paladin, Cleric or Bladesinger

EK 11 / Bladesinger 6 / Hexblade 3. This build can make 7 Charisma based attacks in a turn with any weapon with absolutely no resource cost. Take the attack action, make two attacks with your weapon, sub in EB for your 3rd attack to make four spell attacks, and then thanks to EB use your War Magic attack.

Fluffwise, I think you made the right choice in going EK. The other classes you mentioned might come close-ish, but EK seems like it was intended to cover that Bladesinger niche. It just captures the flavor so well! It's tempting to go with mage armor, but I feel like that's taking the fluff train one stop too far. EKs magic is very limited, they don’t have more than 3 spell slots until level 7. Magic initiate can be decent: Magic Initiate Warlock can get you Hex, Booming Blade and Mage Hand/whatever. Magic Initiate Cleric can get you Bless or Shield of Faith along with Light (since Vumans don’t get darkvision) and Guidance. Dex and Int: Variant human has amazing synergy with the bladesinger class.

(Personally I'd take resilient: con over warcaster because dual-wielding is kinda a mess RAW with a bladesinger, but it's not a bad choice). With point buy you can start out with a 16 in both Int and Dex. Bladesingers really need to invest in ASIs whenever possible.

Ek bladesinger

Bladesingers were elven wizards who practiced the sacred art of bladesinging, an ancient and sacred tradition of fighting that blended swordsmanship, along with other fighting styles, and unique arcane magic.

Scimitar: Tempting for the Bladesinger if you want to explore Two-Weapon Fighting, but you can't perform Somatic components with a weapon in your hand so you can't cast Shield if you're using two scimitars. You'll need War Caster to overcome that limitation, and even if you go that route remember EK attacks with both attacks available. If both miss, they try again next turn. If either hits, Eldritch Strike (the level 10 archetype feature) triggers against the target, and EK will proceed to the next step.

So I'd consider this unclear. Bladesinger has a better AC, more defensive spells and at higher levels effectively more hit points. If she and an EK with similar ability scores are in battle the same number or rounds and get targeted the same number of times with identical attacks of the appropriate CR and average rolls it will take more rounds to push her to 0 hp. In combat, a bladesinger uses a series of intricate, elegant maneuvers that fend off harm and allow the bladesinger to channel magic into devastating attacks and a cunning defense. Styles of Bladesinging are broadly categorized based on the type of weapon employed, and each is associated with a category of animal.

Many who have observed a bladesinger at work remember the screen as one of the more beautiful experiences in their lifetime, a glorious dance accompanied by a singing blade. If the Bladesinger is not able to get short rests after their Bladesong class ability is out, then you are essentially a Wizard without a subclass. The Bladesinger is naturally Elf-only, but your GM can choose to lift the restriction. Maybe your character once had a relationship with a bladesinger, or your parents were good friends with them.

A character class is a fundamental part of the identity and nature of characters in the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.A character's capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses are largely defined by its class; choosing a class is one of the first steps a player takes to create a Dungeons & Dragons player character. Unless EK gets it now. Basically you are wanting a bladesinger type class. Keep in mind, bladesinger is just a prestige class. The spirit of it, is that you cast your wizardly spells, in medium armor, no shield using only a rapier or longsword, not dual wielding. You keep putting up dual wielding builds.

(In the event of a fumble, however, the Bladesinger may, in lieu of any further actions that round, make a dexterity check. Want to discover art related to bladesinger? Due to the nature of DDO, this can be considered a hard build to play. Fight/Wiz kensai/EK is, for me, the closest thematic match for a true bladesinger in DDO. Bard only has a look-in because of the 'Dancing' skill pre req quite honestly, and nothing is stopping you putting points into perform if it matters that much to you, regardless of class.
